Queen of Darkness II: The Second Reproduction.

Heterodoxy Presents…

Queen of Darkness II: The Second Reproduction

Christina was the third princess of Almenan, and born in the era of war against the Demons. Having the status of a “Champion”, Christina had countless battle victories upon her shoulders and was feared by the Demon race.

Being the most successful of her three sisters, her mother the queen sent her on a secret mission to assassinate the Demon Lord Gardis in return for his ruthless annihilation of the Kingdom of Crofts.

Obeying her mother’s orders for the sake of her kingdom, Christina set out alongside with her most loyal knight Lezette to take the Demon Lord’s head, and to bring peace to the land.

Demon Lord Gardis

Gardis actually is my favorite character in this game. At first, I planned on finishing Lezette’s route first, but after the prologue I just can’t not choose him. xD

I loved him in every route I played, even in Lezette’s and Jin’s route.

His route probably reveals most about the story, and I think he’s probably the main guy.

Anyways, moving on to the endings.

*WARNING: Major spoilers ahead!*

Bad End: The Demon Lord’s Doll

During the battle between Almenan and Deathryde, Christina insisted on negotiating with her mother, Queen of Almenan. Though Gardis was against it, Christina, believing that her mother could never kill her, decided and went ahead. She explained to her mother that the demons were not at all bad, and that what they had believed all along were lies. Her mother then stabbed her in the throat.

Shocked, Christina came running back to see Gardis at least before she dies. The queen then ordered a soldier to shoot Christina. When Christina finally saw Gardis, her vision slowly started to fade. Gardis cried as she dies in her arms, telling him that she loved him more than anything else. He promised that he will kill every humans for everything that they have done. He uses a powerful magic, and the scene fades.

In the aftermath, Gardis is talking to Christina, saying how beautiful she is. It is then revealed that as Christina dies, Gardis used a powerful magic to turn her into a doll. He’s still talking to Christina, asking her how many people should he kill tonight.

Good End: The Melody of Happiness

In the good end, Christina stabs her mother from her back, saving Gardis. They formed an alliance with the other kingdoms, finally bringing peace to the world. They had a child called Risty, named after the first Queen of Darkness. 🙂

Princess’ Knight Lezette

Lezette greatly reminds me of Miketsukami from Inu X Boku SS. I loved his CG’s especially in the bad end he’s so hot. ♥ Anyways I initially planned on playing his route first but ended up playing Gardis’. xD Some of the mysteries that are not revealed in Gardis’ route will be revealed in this route.

Bad End: A War’s Beginning

In the bad ending, Gardis became all Lelouch-like and pretended that he was the bad guy in front of Christina’s mom, he pretended that he was going to kill Christina so that Lezette would kill him. While crying, Lezette asks him why did he wanted to kill him. And he said that if his life would mean peace for humans, then he will gladly die for it. He then told Lezette that he was glad to be able to meet humans like them, and that he should make Christina happy, for she is the woman that he loves. After that Christina went along with Gardis and said that Lezette was crying tears of joy and everything so that the Queen would think that they’re on her side. Lezette questions this, then Christina answered that they need to live for now.

Then ten years after, Christina with Lezette is shown to come back along with an army, preparing for the assassination of the Queen. She asked him if he was ready. And he said that he’s been for ten years. Then they attacked.

Good End: The Queen’s Knight

In the good end, Lezette kills the Queen. But then Christina pointed out that the queen was holding the dagger with her right hand, though she was actually left-handed. She thought that maybe her mother had planned this all along.

Christina becomes the new queen of Almenan, and Lezette still stays as her knight. They formed an alliance of course with Deathryde and the other kingdoms, finally bringing peace to the world.

Prime Minister Jin

Jin is the bonus character for this game, and he only has one ending (good end).

He’s this cold-hearted guy who has S&M fetishes. xD As the story progresses though he slowly opens up and expresses his feelings more. I actually liked his route, I recommend playing him last since he has the lightest story I guess, compared to the events in Gardis’ and Lezette’s route.

Good End: Imprisoned by Love for All Eternity

In the good end Christina basically becomes the Prime Minister’s wife. 😀 Also, Christina’s oldest sister was convinced by Jin to rebel against the queen, and formed an alliance with Deathryde along with the other kingdoms and again, finally bringing peace to the world. 🙂

Bonus Valentine Plans CG!

You can get this once you’ve finished all the endings.

Go to Option>Event>Christina

You will see a last event called “Valentine Plans”. Just click on it, and you can now enjoy bonus stories with Lezette, Gardis, and Jin. 🙂 Only Gardis has a CG though.

Lezette: To the day I decided…

Gardis: To the day I kissed…

Jin: To the day I confessed…

Final Thoughts

I love this game! I personally loved the characters, the art was amazing, and the plot was great. I definitely would want to play more games like this. This is the only game where I liked ALL the endings. Even the bad endings were not really bad, just sad. Oh and if you’re playing it and after the prologue noticed that the voices were gone, don’t panic. Since this game is partially voiced only. So there are times when there will be no character voices. But don’t worry, it will come back. There will be voices usually for the start/end of a chapter and for the important events as well. 🙂 Recommended playing order: Gardis>Lezette>Jin.

*My Rating*

Story: 8/10

Characters: 8/10

Music: 8/10

Art: 9/10

Overall: 8.25/10

If you want a detailed walkthrough for this game, this is what I found. There are a lot of walkthroughs online but this is the most detailed and accurate one. This is what I used when I played the game. This game was a commercial release, but since Heterodoxy went out of business 😦 you can’t buy their games anymore. But you can still get the game here for free. 😀 I hope you enjoy this game too. ♥

  1. OH! and last questions hehe, are routes to long? are they repetitive? how much did you spend to finish the whole game?

    • The routes are not too long compared to other games like Shikkoku no Sharnoth. I probably spent about 2-3 hours per route to get all the endings (I was using a walkthrough). Like other games, there will be a common route then at a certain point, the story will divert depending on your answers. Don’t worry, the repetitive scenes are short and just at the beginning. ^_^

  2. I should say that there’s another end in Jin’s path-the Bad End.I don’t know if I should make spoilers so I’ll only say it exists)
Well,I’ve found it the first time I played this game. The lucky one ^_^

  3. I got the good ending of Lezette route, to be honest, after I play his route I can’t imagine Chris with the two other guy… (yeah you can say I ship Lezzete x Chris) but after I saw the CG of his bad ending, it makes me want to play the game again and got Lezette’s bad ending hahaha.

  4. They snuck in a the story of the Queen’s love through the theater. Didn’t really realize until I was actually reading the script. Explains why the Queen hated demons and Croft. And why Christina was able to withstand Gardis’ power.
