Currently Playing: Sweet Fuse At Your Side

The grand opening of the largest theme park in Japan. Its biggest selling point are several attractions based on popular video games, as well as the involvement of famous video game creator, Keiji Inafune. During Mr. Inafune’s speech, a mysterious figure appears and presents an ultimatum: participate in a seven-day [game] or watch the theme park blow up! The heroine who volunteers to save the hostages ends up playing the [game]s held at each attraction with six attractive men!

Thus, beginning our adventure in beating the games and solving the mysteries of who’s behind the whole thing. After volunteering for the game you will find out that there are actually seven of you who will be participating in the game (there’s a secret guy though, you will meet him after you’ve finished the game and played it again).

And of course, we can’t forget about the pig who’s behind all of this.

  • The System

This game is not that complex, really. Basically you go to a specific ride in the theme park, an instruction is given, and you guys try to make it out alive by beating the game. It won’t be really that hard since your teammates will help you figure out how to beat the game but there are times when you have to be the one to find the solution with Explosive Insight.

The instructions of the game will appear with highlighted words and you will choose at most three words and of one of them is the key to finishing the game, then you will be able to figure out how to finish it. If you’re not so sure that you’re gonna get the answer right I recommend saving before choosing the words first. But if you want to use a walkthrough (which is no fun at all if you’re playing this game for the first time) then you won’t have to save before every explosive insight.

Also, after finishing a game you will be resting at a hotel (on a ship) where you will have this event called “Break Time”. This allows you to freely choose whoever you want to hang out with. So be sure to hang out with the guy you’re pursuing every break time to increase his affection level and to unlock certain CG’s.

  • Final Thoughts

This game I actually enjoyed since it’s not just all romance. Throughout the game you will need to use your brain to figure out how you and your friends will finish each game. The ending I got first was Subaru’s ending. I did not use a walkthrough in playing this because that’ll spoil the fun. But if you’ve finished the game once and just want to take the other guys’ routes you can use this walkthrough. In Subaru’s ending Hogstein’s identity and the connection of the accident years ago to that pig were not revealed. So I guess you’ll have to play all the routes to uncover all the mysteries of this game.

This kind of reminds me of Danganronpa though. I think it’s because of the survival mystery thing. And both masterminds have a mascot (in Danganronpa there’s Monokuma) as the antagonist and perpetrators.

Overall I think this game is definitely worth playing. If you love mystery games then you will definitely enjoy this. I hope Aksys Games continues on bringing us more English otome games to play.

My ratings for this game:

Story: 9/10
Characters: 9/10
Art: 9/10
Music: 9/10
Overall: 9/10

I hope you guys enjoy this game as well! (^ _ ^)/
